Since 2009, our expert Central Coast Captain Micheal Brink has proudly and passionately led thousands of unforgettable whale watching tours along the breathtaking and rugged San Luis Obispo County coastline, charming and captivating guests with truly incredible and up-close encounters with majestic marine life living freely in their natural, pristine habitat, while sharing local knowledge, and a love for the ocean that keeps visitors coming back.
Each unforgettable adventure promises awe-inspiring panoramic views of the glittering Pacific, thrilling sightings of playful dolphins gliding energetically through the waves, and graceful whales breaching with magnificent displays, creating memorable moments and striking photo opportunities that will leave you marveling for years to come at the incredible wonders and mysteries of the vast, wild ocean. $125 per person.

I can’t recommend SLO Tours enough! We had the most unforgettable experience out on the water today with Captain Brink at the helm. His knowledge, professionalism, and passion for marine life made the entire trip feel both safe and magical.
We headed out from Port San Luis and ended up having an absolutely insane encounter near the Pismo Pier — TEN humpback whales all around the boat, breaching, tail-slapping, and feeding right in front of us. It honestly felt like something out of a National Geographic documentary.
Captain Brink made sure everyone had the best view, explained what we were seeing in real time, and even helped us snap a few photos. The Obispeño catamaran was super comfortable and stable, and the small group size made it feel like a private tour.
If you’re anywhere near the Central Coast, do not miss this experience. It was hands-down one of the best things I’ve ever done in California.
